## 1. Choose this provider when

Verify one email address in real time.

## 2. Minimal request

Call `POST https://api.firecrawl.dev/v2/scrape` with `{ alexandria: { provider, capability, options } }`. For a batch, send `{ alexandria: [...] }` with up to 10 calls.

```json
{
  "provider": "millionverifier",
  "capability": "people/email-verify",
  "options": {
    "email": "<email>"
  }
}
```

## 3. Add provider options

Use only the options needed for the task:

- `email` (string, required): Email address to verify. Special characters are encoded on the query string. Example: `<email>`
- `timeout` (number): Seconds to wait for the recipient server, from 2 to 60. Leave unset for the vendor default of 20. Example: `10`

## 4. Request through your preferred interface

### JavaScript

```javascript
const result = await firecrawl.scrape({
  alexandria: {
    provider: "millionverifier",
    capability: "people/email-verify",
    options: {
      email: "<email>",
    },
  },
});
```

### Python

```python
result = firecrawl.scrape_alexandria({
  "provider": "millionverifier",
  "capability": "people/email-verify",
  "options": {
    "email": "<email>"
  }
})
```

### cURL

```sh
curl https://api.firecrawl.dev/v2/scrape \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $FIRECRAWL_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
  "alexandria": {
    "provider": "millionverifier",
    "capability": "people/email-verify",
    "options": {
      "email": "<email>"
    }
  }
}'
```

### CLI

```sh
  --options '{"email":"<email>"}'
```

### MCP

Call the FCX MCP retrieve tool with this object:

```json
{
  "provider": "millionverifier",
  "capability": "people/email-verify",
  "options": {
    "email": "<email>"
  }
}
```

Ask for only the returned fields needed by the task.

## 5. Full request shape

```json
  "provider": "millionverifier",
  "capability": "people/email-verify",
  "options": {
    "email": "<email>"
  }
}
```

  "resultcode": 0,
  "subresult": "<subresult>",
  "free": false,

  "didyoumean": "<didyoumean>",
  "credits": 0,
  "executiontime": 0,

```
## API reference-derived contract
The following capability contract is generated from the same normalized Alexandria API reference exposed in the API spec.
### Email verifier
- Capability: `people/email-verify`
- Description: One verification. result ok, invalid, and disposable cost 10 credits. catch_all and unknown cost nothing. credits is the remaining account balance, not the charge for this call. executiontime is milliseconds. error is empty unless result is error, and a result of error fails before this body is returned.
- Instructions: Check one email address. result is ok, invalid, disposable, catch_all, or unknown. 10 credits for ok, invalid, or disposable, because those are the results MillionVerifier bills. catch_all and unknown cost nothing. A result of error fails the call and costs nothing. The quote stays within 100 credits. Use account/usage for the deployment account's remaining credits.
- Cost: 10 credits per record
- Capability file: [Email verifier](https://alexandria.firecrawl.dev/agents/providers/millionverifier/people/email-verify)
Accepted options:
- `email` (string, required): Email address to verify. Special characters are encoded on the query string. Example: `<email>`
- `timeout` (number): Seconds to wait for the recipient server, from 2 to 60. Leave unset for the vendor default of 20. Example: `10`
Response schema example:
```json
{

  "quality": "<quality>",
  "result": "<result>",
  "resultcode": 0,
  "subresult": "<subresult>",
  "free": false,
  "role": false,
