New car dealer quote benchmark

Use when a car buyer, small-fleet purchaser or buying-service agent is negotiating a new Nissan and wants leverage. Reads live new inventory and pricing across nearby dealers, compares with nearly-new used listings and book values for the same trim, and checks safety ratings and recalls, then gives a target price and the dealer to start with.

# New car dealer quote benchmark

For one model and trim near one ZIP. Dealers price the same VIN-level car differently; the spread across dealers plus the nearly-new used price sets a fair target.

## 1. Map dealer inventory

1. Find dealers with @[Nissan USA · Search dealers](alexandria:nissanusa-com/vehicles/search_dealers) by ZIP and radius. Keep **dealer_id** and coordinates.
2. List new stock with @[Nissan USA · List dealer inventory](alexandria:nissanusa-com/vehicles/list_dealer_inventory) for each dealer (condition new), filtered to the trim.
3. Open the candidates with @[Nissan USA · Get inventory vehicle](alexandria:nissanusa-com/vehicles/get_inventory_vehicle) for MSRP, dealer price, options and days in stock where shown.

## 2. Set the floor from used

4. Search @[CarGurus · Search listings](alexandria:cargurus-com/vehicles/search_listings) near the ZIP for the same model, one model year older and under 15,000 miles. A nearly-new car priced close to new dealer price weakens the dealer's position.
5. Get @[Kelley Blue Book · Book value](alexandria:kbb-com/vehicles/book_value) for that nearly-new trim and mileage.

## 3. Check the model

6. Read @[NHTSA · Safety ratings](alexandria:nhtsa-gov/recalls/safety_ratings) and @[NHTSA · Vehicle recalls](alexandria:nhtsa-gov/recalls/vehicle_recalls) for the model year, so open recalls can be raised at the desk.

## Write the benchmark

- **Dealer table:** dealer, VINs, MSRP, advertised price, discount from MSRP, distance.
- **Used anchor:** nearly-new listing prices and book value.
- **Target:** a target out-the-door price range grounded in the lowest advertised prices and the used anchor.
- **Start with:** the dealer with the most matching stock or deepest advertised discount.
- **Sources:** cite VINs, dealer ids and listing ids. Say what could not be found.
