Sports card buy-low screen

Use when a sports card collector or dealer wants to buy a player's cards before the market catches up with his performance. Confirms production and health, reads published PSA guide values by grade, and checks sealed box prices for the player's rookie-year sets, and returns a buy, hold or avoid call per card.

# Sports card buy-low screen

For one player and his key rookie cards. Player name and rookie-year sets carry through.

## 1. Is the player trending up

1. Resolve with @[ESPN · Search](alexandria:espn-com/sports-data/search) and read @[ESPN · Player](alexandria:espn-com/sports-data/player) (include_statistics) for this season versus last.
2. Check @[ESPN · Injuries](alexandria:espn-com/sports-data/injuries) for his league. A healthy player producing better than last year is the buy-low profile; an injured one is a value trap.
3. For MLB players, add contact quality from @[Baseball Savant · Get leaderboard](alexandria:baseballsavant-mlb-com/baseball-statcast/get_leaderboard) (expected_statistics) to confirm the gain is real.

## 2. What the cards are valued at

4. Walk the PSA price guide: @[PSA · Categories](alexandria:psacard-com/collectibles/categories) (url https://www.psacard.com/priceguide), then @[PSA · Sets](alexandria:psacard-com/collectibles/sets) for the sport, then @[PSA · Values](alexandria:psacard-com/collectibles/values) for the rookie set. Record guide values by grade and the up or down markers.

## 3. What sealed product costs

5. Search the rookie-year sets with @[Steel City Collectibles · Search products](alexandria:steelcitycollectibles-com/products/search_products) (include_out_of_stock true) for box and case prices. Rising sealed prices often lead single-card prices.

## Write the screen

- **Player case:** stats change, health, contact quality where relevant.
- **Card table:** card, grade, PSA guide value, change marker.
- **Sealed:** box and case prices and availability.
- **Call per card:** buy, hold or avoid. Guide values are not sales; say so.
- **Sources:** cite every figure to the capability and record it came from. Say what could not be found rather than guessing.
