# Graded card bid ceilings for estate auctions

For a search term (a player, set or 'PSA graded') and optionally a ZIP and radius for pickup. The idea: small regional auctions often under-price graded cards, but only the price guide tells you where the ceiling is.

## 1. Find the lots

1. Search open lots with @[HiBid · Search lots](alexandria:hibid-com/online-auctions/search_lots) (status OPEN, optionally `zip` and `miles`). Keep each lot's **id**, **lead**, **auction** close time, auctioneer, **shipping_offered** and **state** (high bid, bid count, minimum bid).
2. Read each promising lot with @[HiBid · Lot](alexandria:hibid-com/online-auctions/lot): full **description**, **pictures** and **estimate**. Extract year, set, card number, player and PSA grade; drop lots where the grade is not stated.
3. Read @[HiBid · Lot bids](alexandria:hibid-com/online-auctions/lot_bids): bid **amounts** and **placed_at** times show whether the lot is contested.

## 2. Value the card

4. Open the PSA price guide with @[PSA · Categories](alexandria:psacard-com/collectibles/categories) (url https://www.psacard.com/priceguide) and pick the sport or TCG category.
5. List that category's sets with @[PSA · Sets](alexandria:psacard-com/collectibles/sets) and pick the card's set URL.
6. Read @[PSA · Values](alexandria:psacard-com/collectibles/values) for that set and take the value for the card at the lot's grade.

## Write the bid sheet

- **Table:** lot, card and grade, current high bid, bids so far, PSA guide value, closes at, shipping or pickup.
- **Ceiling per lot:** guide value less the user's target margin and the buyer's premium and shipping they supply; never assume a premium.
- **Flags:** grade not visible in photos, contested lots, lots closing within 24 hours.
- **Sources:** cite each bid and value to its capability and time. Say which cards could not be matched in the guide rather than guessing.
