# Used equipment bid sheet across auction houses

For one make, model and acceptable year range, plus the buyer's yard address. Comparing lots across houses on the same fields is what turns a hunch into a bid.

## 1. AuctionTime lots

1. Search @[AuctionTime · Search auction lots](alexandria:auctiontime-com/equipment-auctions/search_auction_lots) with `manufacturer`, `model` and optionally `state`, and keep each lot's listing id.
2. Read each with @[AuctionTime · Get auction lot](alexandria:auctiontime-com/equipment-auctions/get_auction_lot): **year**, **condition**, **spec_groups** (hours, attachments), **serial_number**, **seller**, **auction** dates and **media**.

## 2. IronPlanet lots

3. List matching equipment with @[IronPlanet · List equipment](alexandria:ironplanet-com/equipment-auctions/list_equipment) (`make`, `year_bucket`, `location`).
4. Read each with @[IronPlanet · Get equipment preview](alexandria:ironplanet-com/equipment-auctions/get_equipment_preview): **meter** reading, **features**, **serial_number** and **total_photos**. Lots without meter readings or photos go to the bottom.

## 3. Cost to get it home

5. For each lot's location, get the drive from lot to yard with @[Maps · Directions](alexandria:firecrawl-maps/businesses/directions) (mode driving) and keep **distance_text** and **duration_text** for the haul quote.

## Write the bid sheet

- **Table:** house, lot, year, hours, key attachments, serial, location, haul distance, sale date.
- **Ranking:** lowest hours per year of age first, then documentation quality (photos, serial, inspection report).
- **Inspection notes:** what to verify in person or in photos for each top lot.
- **Bid ceiling:** leave as the buyer's number; do not invent market values or fees.
- **Sources:** cite each spec to its capability. Say what could not be found rather than guessing.
