# Competitor team build-out tracker For one competitor with a Greenhouse board (board token) and its careers page URL. Openings by team, and how they changed, show where a company is investing. ## 1. Today 1. Read openings by department with @[Greenhouse · Departments](alexandria:greenhouse-io/jobs/departments) (board_token, include_jobs true). Carry count and locations per department. 2. Read offices with @[Greenhouse · Offices](alexandria:greenhouse-io/jobs/offices) (board_token) for new locations. ## 2. Before 3. Find archived snapshots of the careers page six and twelve months ago with @[Wayback Machine · History](alexandria:web-archive-org/captures/history) (url the careers or board URL, date YYYYMMDD for each point). 4. Read each snapshot's text with @[Wayback Machine · Content](alexandria:web-archive-org/captures/content) (url, timestamp) and count openings per department the same way. Snapshots can miss pages that load jobs by script; say when counts are unreliable. ## 3. Why 5. Read the latest funding with @[Fireround · A company's profile and funding](alexandria:fireround/companies/profile) (id the domain). A new round followed by sales hiring means go-to-market expansion. 6. Read leadership's recent podcast comments with @[Particle · Dialogue mentions of an entity](alexandria:particle/podcasts/mentions) (company_id the domain, role guest, since six months back) for stated plans that match the hiring. ## Write the tracker - **Table:** department, openings now, six months ago, twelve months ago, change. - **New fronts:** departments or offices that did not exist before. - **Strategy read:** two or three conclusions tied to the hiring pattern, funding and quotes. - **Recruiting implications:** teams whose growth will compete with yours for talent. - **Sources:** cite counts to the board or snapshot timestamp. Say which periods had no usable snapshot.
