# Federal revenue dependence check

For one listed company. Recipient ids from step 1 feed the totals; award ids feed the end dates.

## 1. What it gets

1. Search @[USAspending · Award search](alexandria:usaspending-gov/awards/award_search) (recipient_search_text the company name, award_type_codes ["A","B","C","D"], time_period the last fiscal year, sort amount_desc). Repeat for major subsidiaries named in the 10-K. Carry recipient ids and award ids.
2. Read @[USAspending · Recipient](alexandria:usaspending-gov/recipients/recipient) (recipient_id at parent level, fiscal_years the last three) for obligations by year.

## 2. What ends soon

3. Open the ten largest with @[USAspending · Award](alexandria:usaspending-gov/awards/award) (award id): awarding agency, period of performance end, and ceiling. Anything ending inside 18 months is recompete exposure.

## 3. Against the reported business

4. Read annual revenue with @[Fiscal.ai · Income statement](alexandria:fiscal-ai/financials/income-statement) (ticker, periodType annual). Obligations are not revenue, so treat the ratio as an indicator.
5. Read @[SEC · Sections](alexandria:sec-gov/filings/sections) (ticker, form 10-K, items ["1","1A"]) for the company's own stated government share and contract risks.

## Write the dependence check

- **Concentration:** obligations by year, share of revenue as an indicator, top agencies.
- **Recompete calendar:** contracts ending inside 18 months with value and agency.
- **Disclosure check:** whether the 10-K's stated share matches what spending data shows.
- **Sources:** cite every figure to the capability and record it came from. Say what could not be found rather than guessing.
