# IPO filing comps sheet

For one company that has filed an S-1. Revenue from step 1 and peer multiples from step 4 give the implied range.

## 1. The filing

1. Find it with @[SEC · Filings](alexandria:sec-gov/filings/filings) (name the company, forms ["S-1"], include_amendments true) and open the latest with @[SEC · Filing](alexandria:sec-gov/filings/filing) (accession_number). From the prospectus summary take revenue, growth, gross margin and net loss.

## 2. The private marks

2. Read @[Fireround · A company's profile and funding](alexandria:fireround/companies/profile) (id the domain): last stated valuation, round date and investors. The last private price is the bar the IPO has to clear.

## 3. The peers

3. Resolve the company with @[Particle · Company directory](alexandria:particle/companies/search) and list its set with @[Particle · Company competitors](alexandria:particle/companies/competitors). Use @[Particle · Company profile links](alexandria:particle/companies/external-links) to get tickers and keep listed peers.
4. For each peer, read @[Fiscal.ai · Ratios by period](alexandria:fiscal-ai/ratios/series) (ticker, periodType ltm) for EV to revenue, gross margin and growth.

## Write the comps sheet

- **Comps table:** peer, EV to revenue, growth, gross margin.
- **Implied range:** the issuer's revenue times peer quartile multiples, adjusted for growth difference.
- **Versus last round:** whether the range clears the last private valuation.
- **Watch:** S-1 amendments, which usually add the price range.
- **Sources:** cite every figure to the capability and record it came from. Say what could not be found rather than guessing.
