Search-season paid plan
Use before planning a paid search or paid social budget for a product category. Finds the true seasonal peak and rising queries from search interest, checks what competitors spend on paid search in that peak month and how they message it on Meta, and writes a month-by-month flighting plan with keyword and angle gaps.

# Search-season paid plan For one product category and two to four competitor domains. Seasonality decides when to spend; competitor spend and creative decide where the gaps are. ## 1. Pin the demand curve 1. Disambiguate the category term with @[Trends · Suggestions](alexandria:firecrawl-trends/trends/suggestions); keep the **topic id** so later steps measure the topic, not a homonym. 2. Chart five years of interest with @[Trends · Interest over time](alexandria:firecrawl-trends/trends/interest_over_time) (`time=today 5-y`, `geo` = the target country). Mark the **peak month**, the trough and the ramp start. 3. Get rising and top queries with @[Trends · Related queries](alexandria:firecrawl-trends/trends/related_queries) for the same topic and country over `today 12-m`. Keep the five fastest-rising queries. ## 2. See what competitors pay for 4. For each competitor, read @[Similarweb · Paid search spend](alexandria:similarweb/web/ppc-spend) for last year's peak month from step 2 and for a trough month (one call per month). The ratio shows who leans into the season. 5. Search Meta creative for each rising query with @[Upspring · Search ads](alexandria:upspring/ads/search) (`q` = the query, `is_active=true`); re-rank by strength and note which competitors already own the angle. ## Write the plan - **Flighting calendar:** month by month, with the ramp start and peak from step 2. - **Keyword gaps:** rising queries from step 3 no competitor ad addresses in step 5. - **Competitor posture:** peak versus trough paid search spend per competitor. - **Sources:** cite each figure to its capability, country and month. Say what could not be found rather than guessing.
