# Trend-jacking content brief

For one brand and one country. A trend is worth chasing when search is spiking but creators have not saturated it yet. Each step narrows the list.

## 1. Catch the spike

1. Pull the last 24 or 48 hours with @[Trends · Trending now](alexandria:firecrawl-trends/trends/trending_now) for the country. Keep up to ten trends that plausibly touch the brand's category.
2. For each, read @[Trends · Related queries](alexandria:firecrawl-trends/trends/related_queries) over `now 7-d` and note the rising angles: these become the hooks.
3. Confirm the shape with @[Trends · Interest over time](alexandria:firecrawl-trends/trends/interest_over_time) over `now 7-d`, up to five trends per call: still climbing, peaked or fading.

## 2. Measure saturation

4. Search TikTok captions for each surviving trend with @[Oriane · Search TikTok videos](alexandria:oriane/tiktok/posts-search), sorted by `publishedAt:desc`; count recent posts and note the top engagement rate per views.
5. Do the same on Instagram with @[Oriane · Search Instagram posts and reels](alexandria:oriane/instagram/posts-search); note which formats (reel, carousel) carry the engagement.
6. Check long-form pickup with @[Particle · Episode search](alexandria:particle/podcasts/episodes/search) (`semantic_search` = the trend, `sort=recency`, `since` = three days ago). Podcast pickup signals staying power beyond a day.

## Write the brief

- **Go or skip table:** trend, search shape, TikTok and Instagram saturation, podcast pickup, verdict.
- **For each go:** the hook from step 2, the format from step 5 and a post-by time.
- **Sources:** cite each count to its capability and timestamp. Say what could not be found rather than guessing.
