Smart money convergence

Use when a portfolio manager wants idea generation from a fund they respect. Diffs that fund's last two 13F filings, then keeps only new or increased positions where insiders are also buying with their own money and fund letters carry a written thesis, producing a short list ranked by how many independent signals agree.

# Smart money convergence

For one institutional manager. The positions found in step 3 are the only names checked in steps 4 to 6.

## 1. What the fund did

1. Resolve the manager to its CIK with @[SEC · Company](alexandria:sec-gov/filings/company).
2. Pull the latest 13F-HR with @[SEC · Holdings 13F](alexandria:sec-gov/filings/holdings_13f), then the prior quarter by passing its report_date.
3. Diff them by CUSIP: new positions and positions up more than 25 percent in shares. Map issuers to tickers.

## 2. Who else agrees

4. For each ticker, list six months of insider trades with @[Fiscal.ai · Insider transactions](alexandria:fiscal-ai/ownership/insider-transactions). Keep open-market purchases only; ignore option exercises, grants and tax withholding.
5. Read @[Fiscal.ai · Theses on a company](alexandria:fiscal-ai/fund-letters/company) for each ticker: which funds wrote a thesis, their stance and conviction, and the core argument in one line.
6. Check recent analyst moves with @[Benzinga · Analyst ratings](alexandria:benzinga/calendar/ratings) (parameters[tickers], last 90 days): upgrades, initiations and target changes.

## Write the list

- **Ranked table:** ticker, fund action, insider net buying, letters count and stance, analyst moves, and a convergence score of 0 to 4.
- **Top three:** one paragraph each on the shared thesis and the main risk.
- **Caveat:** 13F data lags the quarter end by up to 45 days; state each filing date.
- **Sources:** cite every figure to the capability and record it came from. Say what could not be found rather than guessing.
