Pay-one window bid prep
Use when a streaming acquisitions exec is preparing a bid for a film's first pay or SVOD window after its theatrical run. Reads release dates by country, where the title already streams, rents or sells, audience ratings and review momentum, and search interest by country, then lays out which territories are open and how strong demand looks.

# Pay-one window bid prep For one film, before a licensing offer. The TMDB id from step 1 drives every later lookup. ## 1. The title and its windows 1. Resolve the film with @[TMDB · Search](alexandria:themoviedb-org/films/search) and read @[TMDB · Get title](alexandria:themoviedb-org/films/get_title) for genres, runtime, user score and top-billed cast. Carry the tmdb_id. 2. Read @[TMDB · Get release dates](alexandria:themoviedb-org/films/get_release_dates) for theatrical, digital and physical dates per country. Note how many weeks the film has been out in each target territory. ## 2. Who holds it today 3. Pass the tmdb_id to @[JustWatch · Title offers](alexandria:justwatch-com/streaming-availability/title_offers) with your target countries. Split each country into flatrate (already licensed), rent/buy only (open for SVOD) and absent. Name the services holding it. ## 3. Demand signal 4. Read @[Letterboxd · Film](alexandria:letterboxd-com/films/film) by tmdb_id for average rating and fan counts, then @[Letterboxd · Reviews](alexandria:letterboxd-com/films/reviews) sorted newest to see whether word of mouth is holding or fading. 5. Run @[Trends · Interest by region](alexandria:firecrawl-trends/trends/interest_by_region) for the title at country resolution over the last three months, and @[Trends · Interest over time](alexandria:firecrawl-trends/trends/interest_over_time) since the first theatrical date to see the decay curve. ## Write the bid prep - **Window map:** country, theatrical date, digital date, current holder or "open". - **Open territories:** ranked by search interest, with the rent/buy services already carrying it. - **Audience read:** rating, review trend and interest decay in plain terms. - **Bid notes:** where demand and an open window line up, and where a rival already holds it. No price recommendation. - **Sources:** cite every figure to the capability and record it came from. Say what could not be found rather than guessing.
