# Release weekend clash check

For one film, its genre and two to four candidate weekends. Competitor TMDB ids from step 1 are reused.

## 1. Who else is out

1. List announced releases from the first candidate date with @[JustWatch · New titles](alexandria:justwatch-com/streaming-availability/new_titles) (page_type UPCOMING, country, object_types MOVIE) and page through the window.
2. For likely competitors, resolve with @[TMDB · Search](alexandria:themoviedb-org/films/search) and read @[TMDB · Get release dates](alexandria:themoviedb-org/films/get_release_dates) for theatrical and digital dates and certification in your key countries.

## 2. How strong they are

3. Read @[TMDB · Get title](alexandria:themoviedb-org/films/get_title) for genre and cast, and keep competitors that share your genre or audience.
4. Read pre-release interest with @[Letterboxd · Film ratings](alexandria:letterboxd-com/films/film_ratings) (watched, list and like counts) for each competitor.

## 3. Buzz

5. Check what podcasts are discussing with @[Particle · Entity chart edition](alexandria:particle/charts/chart) (category movies, window 7d).
6. Compare search interest for your film against each competitor with @[Trends · Interest over time](alexandria:firecrawl-trends/trends/interest_over_time) (90 days).

## Write the clash check

- **Weekend grid:** candidate weekends with competitors opening, genre overlap and buzz signals.
- **Biggest threat:** per weekend, with why.
- **Recommendation:** the cleanest weekend and the risk that remains.
- **Sources:** cite every figure to the capability and record it came from. Say what could not be found rather than guessing.
